PBS Velká Bíteš

PBS Velká Bíteš is a globally recognised hi-tech manufacturer of power units and other equipment in the field of aerospace. PBS Velká Bíteš is also a leading European company in the area of precision casting, and in particular operates as a highly reliable supplier of castings for the power, transportation, aerospace and glass industries. PBS Velká Bíteš secures professional galvanic surface treatment and highly precise machining, even for difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys. Last but not least, PBS Velká Bíteš supplies decantation equipment for the separation of solids from liquids, both for sewage treatment and for industrial applications.

PBS Energo

PBS ENERGO, a.s. is a prominent Czech company operating in the power industry with clients all over the world. The company’s programme focuses on steam back-pressure and condensation turbines, expansion gas turbines, the delivery of turbosets and the associated operating and construction units. The company offers its customers the comprehensive construction, production, assembly and the associated technology not only for its own turbosets, but also for the creation of technological and power units. An integral part of the company’s services is the provision of long-term full-service for turbosets.

PBS Brno

První brněnská strojírna, a.s. is an engineering-contractor which provides comprehensive services, in particular in relation to the construction of power generation and district-heating units. It uses its own proprietary technology for industrial boilers, for various fuels. It proposes environmental solutions in compliance with the latest legislation and regulations governing the combustion of renewable energy sources. The company focuses on meeting the specific needs of both domestic and foreign customers. It strives to successfully build on the history, tradition and reputation of the PBS brand, which dates back to 1814. It has long-term partnerships with a range of renowned companies and uses these for the implementation of its projects. The company’s quality assurance system is certified in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.

Commencement of the serial production of jet engine PBS TJ80.
2015
Flight tests of turboshaft engine TS 100 in the T-250 helicopter.

Incorporation of První brněnská strojírna Brno into the PBS Group.
2013
First flight of VUT061 Turbo with a TP100 turboprop engine.
2012
PBS Velká Bíteš was awarded the title „Company of the Year“.

Establishment of PBS ENERGO, a. s.

TPP Iranshahr Iran, the largest project in the company's history, a turnkey project - four power plant units.

Commencement of the serial production of jet engine TJ100.
1985
Commencement of the production of decanter centrifuges.

Commencement of the development of generators and auxiliary power units.
1969
Establishment of a precision casting foundry in PBS Velká Bíteš.
1950
Founding of PBS in Velká Bíteš, construction of the first production halls.
1945
Bombardment and destruction of a large number of První brněnská factories in Brno.
1929
Creation of the PBS brand.
1903
First steam turbine manufactured under the Parsons lincense.
1837
Relocation of the machine works to Brno on Olomouc Street and commencement of production.
1824
The first Luz steam engine in operation, and the granting of privileges for the construction of steam engines and boilers.
1814
Establishment of the machine works in Šlapanice, the foundation of První brněnská strojírna by Jan Reiff.
